Remember!! You should be practicing all of the music we are playing in class. If you master these skills. Keep going! Add more scales, techniques, memorize more sections or work on new music not assigned. You can also see Mrs. Czarnecki for solo and ensemble selections or theory worksheets.
Wednesday, April 5th, Quarter 4 (Week 3)

- Self evaluate on set level
Practice Rudiments Week 7 - Musical Example Test starting next class - Play through all new music - Introduce composition assignment
- IN CLASS:
- Rudiments 7 - all rudiments at 80 beats per minute (bpm)
- Make sure you have both set packets
- Sight read Magnificent Seven - You will add a percussion instrument to this with its own part - start thinking about what might sound good

- GOALS:
- Evaluate a festival performance using music terms and knowledge
- Review our festival and performance
- IN CLASS:
- Discuss the festival and how a judge uses the adjudication sheet
- Watch an online performance and rate the group - please turn your sheet in by the end of class - It will be graded on how much musical information you gave to the group that you were judging
- if you were absent this day. . . 1) Get a purple judging sheet from Mrs. Czarnecki
- 2) Go over it with Mrs. Czarnecki
- 3) Watch the Band below and give comments and a rating as if you were the judge
- (FAST FORWARD TO 6:55 and watch the all of that band's pieces)
- 4) Turn in to Mrs. Czarnecki
