Please have a guitar info sheet and a sheet of paper (Pick up if you need one)
Fold the paper lengthwise (will look like a hot dog)With the fold at the top (open on the bottom) Write your name neat and LARGE. Please hang on your stand so I can see it.
Teach - Body position
Standard Sitting position
Sit down on a chair, put your two feet on the floor and keep your back straight. Put the waist of the guitar on your right leg (if you’re right-handed) and hold the back of the guitar against your stomach and chest. Keep the neck of the guitar horizontal to the floor.
Classic Sitting position usually with a footstool - p.6 in packet
Today - Review Parts of the Guitar/ Letter names of strings / right hand fingers
Drill: names of the strings with a partner
Learn First Chords if time
Put Away Instruments, Put Away Stands, Return to your seat
Please sit until you are released by the Teacher

- Left hand - nice and rounded, put your thumbprint on the back of the fingerboard, press the string with the tip of your finger by the nail (sorry, you can't have long nails on your left hand)
